Call for abstracts

The call for abstract submissions is now closed.

Oral presentations

Each presentation will be 10 minutes followed by a 5-minute discussion period.

Poster presentations

Each poster will be displayed on Tuesday, December 6 and Wednesday, December 7. Presenters will be asked to be available at their posters during the dedicated viewing time on Tuesday, December 6 from 13:30 – 14:30 to engage with delegates.  In addition, delegates may peruse the posters at their leisure during refreshment breaks.

Review criteria

Research abstracts will be reviewed against six criteria:

  1. Identification of the problem and purpose of the study are evidence-based.
  2. The methodology supports the purpose of the study.
  3. Validity of the conclusions based on the results.
  4. The abstract is relevant to the specified learning stream and appropriate to the advancement of vaccinology and/or immunization research.
  5. The abstract is clearly described and appropriate.
  6. The abstract represents original research or a novel concept.

Evidence-based practice and policy abstracts will be reviewed against six criteria:

  1. Identification of the problem and purpose are evidence-based.
  2. The methods demonstrate an evidence-based approach.
  3. The significance of the findings/outcomes will affect future practice or policy.
  4. The abstract is relevant to the specified learning stream and appropriate to the advancement of vaccinology and/or immunization practice or policy.
  5. The abstract is clearly described and appropriate.
  6. The abstract represents an original or a novel concept.

Review the Submission Guidelines prior to uploading your submission. Please note, abstracts that are submitted must NOT have been previously presented in Canada at a public meeting or conference. Abstract or data presented at an international conference may be submitted, provided that it will not have been published in full before the Conference.
